Personal.Ann says: "I have been helping people discover their own and others’ potential throughout my career, and I have developed 5 passions in my working life: people, potential, diversity, learning, and simplicity People – in my first career in the services sector, continuous contact with customers and colleagues embedded a lifelong curiosity in how people think, work, learn, and develop. Potential – my next career choices, in the not-for-profit sector, involved dealing with people during life’s extremes. This taught me how we can all discover our potential, irrespective of circumstance, once we commit to do so. Diversity – I set up my first business, Equals, to coach and train jobseekers and career changers to gain education, work, or business opportunities. Based in London’s most culturally-diverse area, I pioneered a range of learning and recruitment initiatives which successfully promoted diversity within many organisations, at both local and global levels. Learning – in Y2k, I became an avid learner myself, when a loss in memory led me to discover brain friendly learning and like-minded colleagues! Since then, our brain friendly network has awakened a joy for learning in countless others, simply by stimulating individual learning potential. And Simplicity? – learning abounds with theories, models, and tests, which may seek to mystify what can be so straightforward – moving an individual or group from the present situation, to a desired future, by discovering existing untapped potential. Through Simply Learning, I am committed to ensuring that all our coaching and learning interventions are understandable, practical and pragmatic, and provide lasting benefits for our individual clients and organisational customers.”
Simply Learning supports the work of the Campaign for Learning whose aim is to stimulate a love of learning that will sustain people for life. Please visit their website at www.campaign-for-learning.org.uk for more information.
