Simply Learning - Ann Grindrod

... developing people differently

Who are we?

Simply Learning is the trading name of Ann Grindrod, who has been developing people differently throughout her life. Ann has embraced 5 passions in her career:

people, difference, diversity, learning, and simplicity.

People

In my first career in the service sector, at operational and management levels, continuous contact with customers and colleagues embedded a lifelong curiosity in how people think, work, learn, and develop.

Difference

My next career choices, in the not-for-profit sector at management and director levels, involved dealing with people during life’s extremes. This taught me how we can all make a difference in our own and others’ lives, irrespective of circumstance, once we commit to do so.

Diversity

I set up my first business, Equals, to coach and train jobseekers and career changers to gain education, work, or business opportunities. Based in London's most culturally-diverse area, I pioneered a range of learning and recruitment initiatives which successfully promoted diversity, within many organisations, at both local and global levels.

Learning

In Y2k, I became an avid learner myself, when a loss in memory led me to brain-friendly learning and some special colleagues! Since then, our expanding network has awakened a joy for learning in countless others, simply by working with how people are.

and Simplicity?

Learning abounds with theories, models, and tests, which may seek to mystify what can be so straightforward – moving an individual or group from the present situation, to a desired future, by building on existing, potentially untapped, resources.

At Simply Learning, we commit to ensuring that all our coaching and learning interventions are understandable and pragmatic, and provide lasting benefits for our individual clients and organisational customers.

Thank you for taking the time to read about my passions, which all underpin how Simply Learning gets results – Ann.

My inspirational special colleagues are – Stella Collins, Chris Dunne, Tony Harrison, Jean Kelly, Helen MacKinlay, Gavin Meikle, Patience Scott-Brown, Diane Walpole, Paul Wright.

“A very enjoyable and practical course. It was very comprehensive and covered so much that happens in the workplace / relationships / etc. Plenty to digest and chew over, over time.”
